The new Performance Metal Roof solar kits are out now

In line with our mission to bring solar energy to every home, we have added two new metal roof solar kits to our product offerings: one with an angle and one without.

Previously, we offered mounting options for tile roofs and flat surfaces. However, since our customers asked for a solution to install on sandwich roofs, we will now offer the best mounts for these types of roofs.

Installing solar panels on metal roofs

Metal roofs provide an ideal surface for installing a solar kit, as they dissipate heat more efficiently than other roof types. This helps prevent excessive heat buildup under the panels, which in turn supports optimal energy production.

So, if you have a house, roofed garage, a pergola, a small tool shed, a storage room, a barbecue area, a terrace enclosure, a garden shade, or any other structure with a metal roof, our new Metal Roof solar kit is perfect for harnessing solar energy.

How to know which mount to choose

To determine whether you should choose a mount with or without an angle, you need to know your roof’s angle:

  • The angle of your roof is between 0° and 20°: In this case you should opt for the Metal Roof solar kit with angle. Its Sunfer 20H1 mount has a 30° tilt angle that is specifically designed to maximize solar energy production by adding an inclination to your inclination. This mounting system is ideal for roofs with no or minimal slope, those with suboptimal orientation, and even for minimizing shading.

  • The angle of your roof is greater than 20°: In this case you should pick the Metal Roof solar kit without angle. With the Sunfer 03V1 mount your roof’s inclination already optimizes solar energy intake. The mount has no angle of its own, and the final angle of your installation will depend on the inclination of your roof.

Setting up your metal roof mount is easy

Simply place the mount on your metal roof and secure it using screws, bolts, or rivets, choosing the best option based on your roof’s specifications. Since the type of screws, bolts, or rivets depends on the specifics of your roof, the mount is supplied without fasteners, allowing you to select the most suitable ones for your installation.

As you can see on our testimonials page, our customers have a knack for making the most of their home spaces. If you feel like checking out existing installations, take a look there and get inspired by their solar kit setups on metal sheet roofs, sandwich panels, galvanized steel covers, and other types of metal tiles.

Conclusion

Metal roofs provide an ideal surface for installing solar panels, whether their angle is 0°, 15°, or 25°. Take advantage of the solar energy hitting your roof and start saving money today. If you have questions, contact us via email, WhatsApp or call us directly.
