Robinsun at SNEC 2025, exploring the future of solar innovation

This week, Robinsun attended SNEC PV & ES Expo 2025, the world’s largest fair for photovoltaic and storage. Held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from June 11 to 13, the event gathered over 500,000 professionals from more than 90 countries and showcased the latest innovations in photovoltaic and energy storage technology.

We traveled to Shanghai to explore emerging technologies and establish strategic partnerships, aiming to expand and improve our solar solutions.

Looking ahead: upcoming innovations and changes

The solar world doesn’t stop, and neither do we. During our visit to the fair, we identified several trends and advancements that will shape the near future of the sector.

Many leading brands are experimenting with combining technologies to maximize efficiency and output. There are also ongoing improvements in control and monitoring devices to provide smarter energy management for end users.

One of the most noticeable trends this year was the industry’s strong focus on energy storage. From small residential plugin batteries to larger, smarter hybrid systems, storage solutions are becoming a key pillar of innovation. New generations of storage systems offer a solution for every size and customer budget, with systems becoming ever easier to install.

The most relevant insight is that the solar and storage market is at a peak of competitiveness, with high global demand, especially in Europe, making it harder to access top-quality components. Despite this, we continue to secure the best technologies and ensure consistent availability for our community thanks to our strong partnerships and ongoing effort.

We look for the best suppliers

We evaluate products and partnerships based on clear criteria: quality, warranty, recognized certifications, compatibility with our products, long-term reliability, and solid technical support. We observe, but don’t follow every trend

Many emerging technologies are still in testing phases. While we’re excited about innovation, we prioritize user safety and stability. That’s why we don’t adopt solutions that haven’t proven solid performance in real residential setups.

We find answers to questions from our community

Through our channels, we gather questions and needs from Robinsun users. We bring those directly to manufacturers to get clear answers and share them later through our Robinsun Academy.

We collect prototypes to test in our lab

Not everything we see at a fair makes it into our kits. We handpick promising technologies, test them internally, and only offer them to our customers if they meet our standards.

We visit factories

During this trip, we also visited the factories of some of our suppliers. This allows us to personally verify the manufacturing quality, control processes, and strength of the warranties before adding a new component to our kits.

Robinsun at Intersolar Europe 2025: pioneers in plugin solar kits

In May, we also took part in Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich, the leading solar industry event in Europe. During the fair, we participated in the first Plug-in Solar Energy Conference 2025, highlighting our role as pioneers in this category. We shared our experiences and learned from other innovators, reinforcing our vision of making solar energy accessible to everyone.
